Terms of Service
Last updated: January 30, 2026
The Short Version
Baseplate provides tools for Roblox communities. Use them responsibly, don't abuse the platform, and we'll all get along fine. We reserve the right to suspend access if something looks off. That's the deal.
1. What This Is
Baseplate ("we," "us," "our") operates baseplate.engineering and bplate.io (the "Service"). By using Baseplate, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
We provide infrastructure tools for Roblox game developers and community managers, including support ticketing, project boards, and related services.
2. Accounts & Access
You authenticate through Roblox OAuth. We don't store your Roblox password. Your access to specific features depends on your Roblox group memberships and ranks as configured by the relevant group administrators.
You're responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately.
3. Acceptable Use
Don't use Baseplate to:
- Violate any laws or Roblox's Terms of Service
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Distribute malware, spam, or malicious content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or overload our infrastructure
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Common sense applies. If you're doing something that feels wrong, it probably is.
4. Our Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate access: immediately and without notice if we reasonably believe you're violating these terms or engaging in activity that could harm Baseplate, its users, or third parties
- Investigate suspicious activity: including reviewing usage patterns, logs, and content when we have reason to believe abuse is occurring
- Modify or discontinue features: with reasonable notice when possible, but immediately if required for security or legal reasons
- Remove content: that violates these terms or applicable law
We don't take these actions lightly. If we suspend your access, we'll generally tell you why and give you a chance to address the issue, unless doing so would compromise an investigation or put others at risk.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create on Baseplate (tickets, messages, project data, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Service.
You're responsible for your content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
6. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee it. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for:
- Downtime, data loss, or service interruptions
- Actions taken by Roblox that affect your access
- Third-party services or integrations
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baseplate's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free services, is zero). We're not liable for any indirect, punitive, special, or consequential damages.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the Service or via email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
9. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@baseplate.engineering and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.
If we can't resolve a dispute informally, you and Baseplate each agree to resolve any claims on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, collective proceeding, or representative action against Baseplate.
Any claim must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to the claim, or it is permanently barred.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
